La Justicia va a La Escuela
La Justicia Va a La Escuela was developed as a joint initiative on behalf of the Association of Judges and Officers of the National Justice and Asociación Conciencia. The objective is to help adolescents who participate in the program develop a more accurate understanding of the Judicial Power, familiarizing them with judges’ decision-making processes, roles, and responsibilities so that students are more likely to confide in the judiciary system.
Program Components
The first phase of the program targets youth in their last two years of High School. It consists of three units:
1st Unit: Under the supervision of two National Judges, students analyze a real-life situation designed to stimulate discussion regarding the value of justice.
2nd Unit: Presentation and analysis of a situation more common in the school environment that also relates to the value of justice.
3rd Unit: Dissemination of lessons learned in the program to the rest of the school community.
Units 2 and 3 will be coordinated by a suitable and qualified professional.
